Hamish Nichol Accord Meet

Trifle in Transit – Photo Spencer Grey

The sun was out, the hut car park chocka and a pool of custard had escaped from my trifle bowl while driving to the hut. A mixed start to the meet I will admit, however things picked up on Saturday with people climbing on Neckband, Pavey Ark, Lower White Ghyll and a number of other mountain crags. This progressed to people having several pints in the New and Old Dungeon Ghyll pubs before more beer, chilli and jacket potatoes (cooked by Pete Dixon) and Pecan Pie/ some very sherry trifles prepared by me.

Sunday involved a mass excursion up to Dow Crag for many of the meet’s attendees, others decided to hide from the heat in a variety of shady crags including Lower White Ghyll and Gouther Crag.

No pic yet available other than a photo of the ill fated trifle in transit shortly before it pebble dashed Spenser’s car during an over enthusiastic piece of driving.
