The hut is currently closed for renovation and will reopen in the spring. Users of Cwm Glas Mawr may may park at the hut.

Camping and vanning are permitted for members but there is no water supply and there are no hut facilities.

No phone. Intermittent mobile phone and internet service.

Situation: in the heart of the Llanberis Pass and surrounded by mountains, Ynys Ettws is one of the best-situated huts in Britain. All the iconic climbing areas of the Llanberis Pass are within easy walking distance. The hut is located 650m below Pont y Cromlech (the Cromlech Bridge) and about 2km above the Park & Ride in Nant Peris. There is a large marker stone by the roadside engraved ‘Climbers’ Club’. The hut is on the south side of a small bridge over the Afon Nant Peris (9 tonne weight limit). 

Access: the barrier across the entrance driveway is padlocked and opened with the key fob. Tools to bypass the padlock in case of lock failure are stored in the hut. The barrier must be kept closed and locked at all times to prevent unauthorised access and parking. Front door operated by key fob.
