This event brings together an exceptional group of artists, climbers, speakers and filmmakers for a celebration of the Arts in the context of mountainous landscape. The festival reflects all aspects of outdoor culture with various presentations, talks, performances, contemporary art, exclusive film screenings and rare archival films from some of the country’s greatest filmmakers.

The Mountain Arts Festival is a fund-raising event to Support Community Action Nepal’s Earthquake Appeal. CAN was founded over twenty years ago by Doug Scott, CBE and mountaineering friends such as Sir Chris Bonington, CVO, CBE, DL the charity’s patron.
