The people of Nepal have been devastated by a massive earth quake and aftershocks. Over 6,200 are known to have died. The final total may reach an estimated 15,000.

Lives have been devastated, homes and building have been destroyed. Fearing more aftershocks people are surviving outdoors with no shelter or sanitation, with 600 aftershocks reported and 120 over 4.0 on the Richter scale. Food and water will soon run out.

Remote mountain villages have been flattened and completely cut off by avalanches and landslides and help is not yet reaching these communities. Langtang village has been completely destroyed.
