When Trevor Langhorne originally arranged this meet, he had the idea of climbing in the mountains on Scafell or Gable. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. A forecast for wind and rain put some people off, but seven of us turned up and had a good time. Sheperd’s crag was an obvious venue in order to try and avoid the strong winds. Brown Slabs Crack, Ardus, Adam, Finale, MGC and North Buttress were climbed, amongst other routes. One team did not return to the hut on Saturday until after 9pm!
I enjoyed myself and would like to run the meet again; hopefully with better weather. I would like to thank the attendees for their great company and exemplary use of the hut facilities.
