Party Weekend & CC AGM 2014

Book early to avoid disappointment. Go on – do it now! You will have heard how great the 2013 event was so don’t miss out in 2014. There are fantastic prizes to be won throughout the weekend – and we mean fantastic! Lots of climbing and outdoor gear from Haglofs, Rab, DMM, Sterling, and others. You just have to be there for a chance of winning!

Events

28th February 2014

• Lakeland Climbing Centre, Kendal – the start of a three day pass.
• The Presidents “Bingo” Quiz, 7.30pm at Hawkshead Brewery, Staveley.

1st March 2014

• Off Road Bike Ride from Staveley, meet at Wheelbase, with Steve Scott.
  Route using the Kentmere Trails, approximately 3 to 4 hours.
  Meet at 10.30am in the car park at Wheelbase (Staveley Mill Yard) outside Wilf’s Café. This is a social ride for all abilities followed by tea and cakes (or more) in Wilf’s Café.
• Second day pass to Lakeland Climbing Centre.
  The Climbers’ Club Climbing Challenge.
  Coaching Sessions run by great coaches with loads of experience: Dave Barrans; Ellie Howard; and Andy Swann. First come, first served basis.
• AGM – 4.15pm at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal.
  Be there to enter the draw for a great prize. Oh, and also to vote in your committee, get an overview of how the club is doing, and what plans are afoot for the future.
  Don’t forget you have a chance to win a fantastic prize when you attend.
• Dinner – 7.30pm at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal.
  Three course dinner and some complementary wine.
• Guest speaker: Paul Ross – Lakeland & Colorado new router.
• Raffle with fabulous prizes.
• Local band, Two Stroke Diesel.
• Important: This year we have arranged a quiet room for those preferring convivial conversation instead of flinging themselves about on the dance floor.
• Bookstall with a full range of Member’s discounted CC and FRCC guidebooks.

2nd March 2014

• Wind Down Walk.
• Third day pass to Lakeland Climbing Centre.

Accommodation

We have negotiated a special room rate for a double or twin room including an amazing sumptuous breakfast. Mention The Climbers’ Club when booking to get the special rate.

The preferred method is to book via The Climbers’ Club website. Log on and follow the link to 2014 Party Weekend. Alternatively, send a cheque, payable to “The Climbers’ Club” to Alison Athroll, address as per handbook. Enclose your name and those of any guests.
