Welsh Classic Rock meet
Date: Thursday 6th June 2024 to Sunday 9th June 2024Venue: Helyg, Ogwen, North Wales
The plan is that over the four days attendees will attempt to have at least one party ascend all of the N Wales Classic Rock routes. There are 21 if you rule out Will o the wisp (and I have a plan for that too Routes will be assigned by drawing lots, with swapping allowed in order to accommodate everyone. There is an excellent spread of mountain and valley routes. I'd aim for a dozen on the meet so Helyg is the perfect size. Spreading the meet over 4 days offers people the option of a 2,3 or 4 day meet (obviously anyone arriving late will have mysteriously been assigned a stinker of a route/approach walk) Re group meals/catering I'm suggesting a pot luck dinner on Saturday with attendees bringing something to add to proceedings (I'll do an apple crumble and custard of course)
