ABOUT THE CLUB
The Climbers' Club is the UK's largest club for enthusiastic and experienced rock climbers and mountaineers, it is a national club with no particular geographic base. We have around 1,800 members and we always welcome applications for membership from experienced Trad climbers/mountaineers.
The CC is a welcoming and dynamic organisation and our members can be found having fun climbing at all manner of venues, from their local bouldering wall to the high peaks of the Himalaya. When you join The Climbers' Club you become part of an incredible network of mountain enthusiasts and potential climbing partners. If you want to know about climbing in a less well known area there will almost certainly be a member who has been there and will happily pass on their knowledge. The club continually evolves as both climbing and wider society change.
Our members enjoy the use of our network of club huts, each one located in a major climbing area, and we have an extensive meets list at venues across the UK and beyond. Meets allow members to get together to both climb and socialise. We offer some meets which are open to non-members, these allow potential members to get a taste of the club without any commitment to join; places on these meets are in high demand! When possible non-members who are affiliated to The BMC or Mountaineering Scotland may book to use our huts. This is a popular service to climbers and early enquiry is advised.
