CLIMBERS' CLUB CRAG AND ENVIRONMENT FUND
Welcome to the Crag & Environment Fund page. This fund is available to groups and charities for works relating to the access and environment of crags. It is supported by funds from CC guidebook sales, determined each year by the surplus of sales over production costs.

Donations from the fund will be recommended by the Publications Sub Committee to the CC Executive Committee. In making recommendations the PSC will draw on its own knowledge of work going on around crag access, but if you have a project you would like the fund to support please contact us using the form below.
Include who you are, a short summary of the proposal, its benefit to access/climbers, and the suggested donation/support. In general around 3 grants will be made each year and the maximum amount would normally be no more than £500.
This is a reinvigoration of what was previously the Colin Kirkus Guidebook Fund which channeled surplus funds from CC guidebook sales into donations to projects relating to climbing that needed support. The fund ran until 2011 and supported projects as diverse as the refurbishment of the road from the harbour on Lundy, and the eradication of rhododendron and other foliage at sandstone crags in the SE. The fund was named after Colin Kirkus to celebrate his trailblazing contributions to climbing across the country.
