NORTH WALES ROCK AND PEMBROKE ROCK 2 PUBLISHED

The Climbers’ Club has announced the publication of two new guides to Wales. North Wales Rock and Pembroke Rock 2 are available now.
North Wales Rock edited by Richard Wheeldon – a selective Climbers' Club Wired guide – brings together a bumper crop of the finest climbs from the major mountain and valley crags of Eryri, including Llanberis, Ogwen, the Carnedds, Moelwyns, the sea cliffs of the Llŷn Peninsula and Gogarth and the sport crags on the North Coast.
Pembroke Rock 2 by Paul Donnithorne, the go-to authority on the sea cliffs of West Wales, is the timely Climbers' Club Wired successor to its sell-out forerunner, and with hundreds of new routes is an absolute must-have for climbers who want to explore the unique bounties on offer on the sea cliffs of Pembrokeshire.
As well as useful introductions for each area, including parking, navigation and tide times, these user-friendly guides have crag tables with information on grades and approach times. Whilst accurate maps and diagrams facilitate easy access, precise photo topos and detailed route descriptions make identifying a chosen climb straightforward at the foot of the crag. Environment and access are also addressed – with relevant bird-ban info and clear signposting to the BMC RAD. Stunning action photography only adds to the anticipation of a visit to venues which boast some of the finest climbing in the UK.
Both guides display the customary diligence that users have come to expect from Climbers’ Club guides. It is an approach designed to help make a climber’s visit, whether they lead Hard Severe or E5, accessible, memorable and safe.
North Wales Rock and Pembroke Rock 2 are available from the Climbers’ Club online shop at: climbers-club.co.uk/guidebooks and from selected retail outlets.
