YNYS ETTWS
Stunningly located in the heart of the Llanberis Pass and surrounded on all sides by Eryri's most spectacular mountains, Ynys Ettws is possibly the best-situated hut in Britain. After a ground-up refurbishment in 2023-4 this truly is a state of the art base for exploring Eryri, whilst all the major crags of the Llanberis Pass are within walking distance. WiFi available.
Water supply is from a private borehole.

- Number of Beds: 19
- Room Sizes: 9, 6, 4
- Members’ Room: 9 bed, a member’s guest or outside booker may stay in the room if other rooms are booked out
- Bookable Rooms: 6 or 4 bed
- Camping & Campervans: Members' parties only (max 11 small tents)
- Under 18s: Members with U18s may sleep in a tent/campervan or bookable room
- Site Capacity: 30 people
Who can book
- The hut is reserved for members and their guests when a meet is based there, and for members, Wayfarers and their guests over all public holidays.
- Weekends: the hut is reserved for members, their guests and Kindred Club members on Friday and Saturday nights.
- At all other times, up to 9 beds are available for outside booking (No U18s) by BMC/MS/MI clubs or individual members. We are unable to accept bookings from youth groups or university/student clubs.
- All bookings must be made in advance, click the Book button to see availability. Custodians do not manage any aspect of bookings so should not be contacted in this respect.
-Wheelie Bin: Please ensure that the chain is tightly closed or the bin will be filled by members of the public and we'll be fined for any recyclable waste in it. -Hut slippers: good idea to bring a pair of soft shoes for the hut.
Situated on the south side of the A4086 Llanberis Pass road about 1.5 miles beyond Pen-y-Pass. It is almost directly below Carreg Wastad and is the first building on the left as you descend the pass.
