CENTRAL WALES
2018 Dave Williams and Doug Kerr
Published by a small independent team, Steep Stone, this is the first definitive guidebook covering the climbing and bouldering in Elenydd: that great tract of rolling hills between Pembrokeshire to the south and Cadair Idris to the north, the area includes parts of the counties of Ceredigion and Powys in Central Wales. Large parts of this part area are relatively inaccessible almost guaranteeing solitude - there is a wide variety of climbing and bouldering including mountain crags, outcrops, sea cliffs and quarries on a variety of rock types.
There are over 600 routes and 200 boulder problems all clearly described and the text is supported by excellent maps and photodiagrams while high quality action shots whet the appetite. Winter climbing is included should there ever be another cold winter! The area is well worth a visit and can easily be reached from Eryri or Pembroke.
